NZCID launch of Horizon Research findings on attitudes to alternative transport funding
Auckland, 25 July 2012
NZCID has recently commissioned Horizon Research to undertake a substantive survey of Aucklanders' attitudes to transport funding alternatives and pricing. The Auckland Council has sought input on a range of transport funding alternatives. This survey of over 1,000 Aucklanders is the first to quantitatively test willingness to pay for a better transport system, with a particular focus on attitudes to motorway network charging, at various pricing thresholds.
The survey provides valuable insight into what might be achieved and how we can turn ideas into action.
Kindly hosted by NZCID member Bell Gully, you are invited to attend the launch of the survey, to hear a presentation of the results by Graeme Colman, Principal, Horizon Research.
