Bright Star extends an invitation to all Members, Affiliates and Friends of CSNZ to attend its Risk Compliance Management seminar in Wellington on Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 June 2012.

This course will equip you with the skills required to develop and verify a framework and process for best practice management of compliance-related risks. As well as focusing on legal and other compliance obligations, this course teaches methods and techniques which are in-line with current AS/NZS compliance and risk management standards. The adaptable tools and processes taught throughout this course will allow you to apply your skills and knowledge to the development of a compliance programme in any organisation.

The Course will show you how to:

  • Manage and mitigate compliance related risks by identifying the legal and other codes an organisation must comply or conform with
  • Develop a compliance programme of management strategies and controls which is embedded within your business processes

The course facilitator is Chris Peace, Managing Director, Risk Management Limited

Chris Peace is the managing director of Risk Management Limited, an independent risk management consultancy established in 2003 to help clients identify, analyse, assess and manage their major risks and to monitor the critical controls over those risks. He has worked as a risk manager for many companies in the past including; NGC Holdings Ltd; Jardine Lloyd Thompson; Marsh & McLennan; and CIGNA (NZ) Ltd.

Chris is an adjunct Lecturer in Risk Management Studies at Massey University and holds an MSc in Risk Management as well as other qualifications in environmental health, air pollution control and occupational safety and health. He is currently a member of the Joint Standards Australia/Standards New Zealand Committee OB007 in Risk Management.
