Dev Oza FCIS
President
Dev Oza is a fellow of the Institute and the central region representative on the Board and is elected Vice-President for 2008. Dev's experience includes management consultancy, developing pricing models, governance systems, planning, accountability and risk management systems, performance measurement and prioritisation methodology.
Initially moved from Mumbai, India to New Zealand to pursue MBA at the University of Otago, Dunedin, Dev and his family loved New Zealand so much that they decided to make New Zealand 'home', and suppose that makes them 'instant kiwis'. Dev and Dr Kalpana (wife) have two adult children and a dog.
Outside work, Dev enjoys reading, watching cricket (as he can not play any more) and Bollywood movies. His professional interests include perennial debate of governance-management interface and governance of crown entities. Dev has published a paper on best practice finance and audit committees for the District Health Boards and Total Quality Management and Healthcare.
John Nimmo MBA (with Distinction ), FCIS

John has been a Director of the NZ Institute since 1995, and a member and a Fellow since 1975.
He has a substantial commercial background spanning 35 years in business in New Zealand and Overseas in the meat industry, and fast moving consumer food products industries at Chief Executive level.
In 2000 (in conjunction with his business partner) he listed Cadmus Technology Ltd on the NZX.
Since that time he has been employed as Executive Commercial Director of Cadmus Technology Ltd and in Dec 2007 retired from his Executive and Director roles.
His consultancy activities include a wide range of business mentoring for entrepreneurs, restructuring advice, mergers, acquisitions and or divestment of all or part of businesses and or their assets in the SME business market.
Sandra Anderson FCIS
Past-President
Sandra has been working with small businesses in the Manawatu/Wanganui/Kapiti Horowhenua regions for the past 10 years.
She is currently involved in two small businesses one being the Managing Director of Sandra Anderson Small Business Specialists Limited (SASBS LTD)and a Director in an Electrical Contracting business. Sandra and her team assists people wanting to achieve growth in their business or start-up a new business ventures.
Sandra is very involved in the training of small business people where her areas of interest and expertise are in financial, marketing and business planning.
Sandra is a Board member of Small Business Enterprise Centres of New Zealand (SBECNZ) and is a past chairperson. Sandra is also a Board Member and Deputy president of CSNZ ( Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators New Zealand) where she is a fellow.
Jim Harknett FCIS

Chief Risk Officer, Ports of Auckland Limited
As Chief Risk Officer, Jim's responsibilites include risk governance issues, enterprise risk management, insurance, business continuity and facilitating assurance.
Jim joined Ports of Auckland as Manager Internal Audit when the Company was established in 1988, was Company Secretary from 1999 to 2007 and appointed Chief Risk Officer in July 2007.
He graduated from North Staffordshire University in Business Studies, majoring in economics and marketing. Jim completed his accountancy training in London and then joined Hertz International auditing their international operations.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons), is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
Rosemary Watson FCIS
Rosemary was admitted an Associate of the Institute in 1993 and has been a committee member of the Otago/Southland Branch, and Chair of that Branch from 2005/7. For many years she worked within industry in Auckland before moving to Dunedin in the 1980's. She joined Cerebos Gregg's, then moving to Local Government and finally the University of Otago. Rosemary is the Administrator for Education Studies and Professional Practice, a department of 57 evolved from the merger of the Faculty of Education and the Dunedin College of Education earlier this year. Rosemary enjoys the contact with students and manages the department's budget. She serves on several University Committees. Knowledge of not-for-profits has been achieved though involvement with several voluntary organisations.
Paul Devereux FCIS
Paul is a chartered secretary, management consultant and in-house counsel running his own independent consultancy company in Auckland.
He is currently the company secretary of Burger Fuel Worldwide Limited and consults to a portfolio of other client companies in New Zealand and Australia. He was formerly an Executive Director, Company Secretary and corporate counsel for Red Bull Australia Pty Limited. Prior to that, he was General Manager and corporate lawyer for Red Bull New Zealand. He also worked for Jones Lang Wootton and in private legal practice.
Paul graduated with a BCom, LLB from Auckland University in May 1995. He was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor to the High Court of New Zealand and the Supreme Court of New South Wales. He is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Management, the Corporate Lawyers Association of New Zealand and a Fellow of Chartered Secretaries New Zealand.
He lives in Auckland, enjoys mountain-biking and tennis with his family and friends, likes the gym and has a keen interest in NZ art.
Linda Gray FCIS
Linda Gray is a fellow of the Institute and a representative for the Central Region.
Linda is a chartered accountant and partner in Palmerston North accountancy firm, Naylor Lawrence & Associates Ltd. In this role she manages the firm's audit division and undertakes financial advisory services for SME's and corporates.Prior to this, Linda has worked at senior management levels for Coopers & Lybrand and PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she has a background in audit and risk management services. Linda is past president of Manawatu Branch of NZICA. She also is a member of the Practice Review Board and Communications & Publications Committee for NZICA.Linda is a member of the Community & Public Health Advisory Committee of MidCentral District Health Board, and has been a long standing member of the Business Studies Stakeholders Advisory Committeefor UCOL. In 1994 Linda was named NZ Young chartered Accountant of the Year.
